Welcome to CanadianReggae.com!  Our hope is to make this site the premier source for Canadian and Caribbean entertainment on the web. We have had  this dream since 2004 when the first ever Montreal International Reggae Festival was held at the old port of old Montreal.  It will be great to share with the world what Canada has to offer. CR will carry the banner for the Canadian and Caribbean reggae community with 100% original entertainment to the world.  We will  bring to you the people, the culture,  Music, Events, Artists, and Lifestyles. 

For many years Canadian Reggae artists as be over looked, but we at CR want to change that.  We want all the world to know that we are here.

Our main mission is to shine the spot light on the true Canadian artists that are working hard at their craft. 

The idea of  building the reggae community is exactly what is need right now, so instead of we going to the masses the masses will comes to us, because we will have good material to offer them.

Yet we all must do our part, so that, when we do have good artists that captures  the heart, mind and soul of the community we must support these artists.  We must not continue to do as we have been doing in the past, just saying the artist sound wicked, but we must reward them in the form of monetary support by purchasing their music.  For only this will show the skeptics and critiques that reggae music have a viable community in Canada.  In turn the community will attract the attention of the large industry players.

The only thing big industry understand is numbers.  Until we acheive the goal of building a large reggae community and overcoming some obstacles, the music industry will not accept us as an reputable genre and they won't give us the time of day.
